Valley Medical Center is one of many healthcare systems and pharmacies that continue to be impacted by a vendor network disruption. We have regained the ability to process prescriptions at our pharmacy locations with a few exceptions. We continue to have limited ability to process copay assistance cards. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to help as many people as we can until the issue is resolved.
Due to high levels of seasonal illness in our community, we strongly recommend wearing a mask in our hospital and clinics. See our patient visitor policy.
BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday: The award celebrates and honors the exceptional skills and daily compassion given by our non-nursing staff. Acknowledging the strength behind teamwork, the BEE Award was conceived by the DAISY Foundation—because a DAISY can't survive without a BEE and a BEE can't survive without a DAISY.
Each BEE Award honoree will be recognized at a public ceremony in their unit and will receive: a hand-carved stone sculpture entitled Circle of Friends, a BEE Award pin and commemorative certificate.
Share your story of a non-nurse staff member who delivered extraordinary, skillful, compassionate care to you or a patient by filling out a nomination form today—it’s an important way of saying thank you to an extra special clinical or non-clinical person who has made a difference in your life or another’s.
BEE Award nominees personify Valley Medical Center’s remarkable patient experience. Potential nominees include those that work within any of the following clinical non-nursing roles: Patient Care Assistant (PCA), Medical Surgical Technologist (MST), respiratory therapist, rehab therapist/aides, technologists, transporters, pharmacists, social workers/case managers, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), medical assistants as well as those in non-clinical roles: Environmental Services, security, IT/informatics, engineering, dietary, Hospital Unit Coordinator (HUC), and Patient Services Representatives (PSR).
Patients, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and other employees are encouraged to nominate a deserving team member. There are two options for nomination:

The DAISY Foundation was established in 1999 by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who died of complications of the auto-immune disease, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP), at the age of 33. During Pat’s eight- week hospitalization, his family was awestruck by the care and compassion his nurses provided—not only to Pat, but to everyone in his family. To honor Patrick’s memory and the extraordinary nursing care he received, his family created The DAISY Foundation, which focuses on nominating and awarding nurses that provide spectacular care.
